5 REASONS TO ADD A RUNNER TO YOUR STAIRS

5 reasons to add a runner to your stairs.  Stair runners are easy to install, soft and safe underfoot and with so many rug runner options to choose from (sisal to stripes) can give your hone a pop of personality while protecting the steps from every day wear and tear!

Recently I competed a DIY project to update red oak wood stairs on both floors of our home and add runners.  The only thing I’ve asked myself since competing the project is why I didn’t do it sooner!  The stairs look fantastic and the project was crazy easy, quick and relatively inexpensive.  Here is a blog post I put together after completing the DIY project HERE

5 Reasons to Add a Runner to Your Stairs

  1. Runner rugs and stair runners will bring serious style to any staircase.
  2. Easy to install and soft underfoot.  Go to my blog HERE on how I installed our runner myself in less than 2 hours!
  3. Deter heavy footed housemates or dog nail clicks with noise reducing and sound absorbing carpeting.
  4. Runners will make stairs safer by padding steps as well as offer some grip that sock feet on hardwood floors cannot provide.
  5. Provide stairs with personality and protection against everyday wear and tear.
