We met the contractor at the mountain house yesterday and took Graham with us. All the new smells he discovered had him running from room to room inside the house and outside he ran over, around and under everything he could get to! After lots of zoomies he finally settled down with Rick and I on the side porch. Quickly he discovered the peace and serenity this property provides as he rested his head on the deck rail and just scanned the mountain views while listening to the sounds of nature all around us.
I’m still in shock that this place is actually ours. What a find for us to land on. It is so far superior to the other properties we looked at in the Gorge that we thought we loved. We actually had written TWO other contracts on different properties and (thankfully) both of them fell through which eventually led us to this one.
I can confidently say Graham approves of the purchase. Soon Graham and I will be exploring the mountain side as it’s my goal to hike up to the ridge top behind the house. Until we do that we are going to sit on the porches enjoying the peace and quiet before major construction begins to make the mountain house into our dream mountain home.
