One day and one hundred dollars. That’s all it took for this boho inspired room refresh in Libby’s room. To update or refresh a room on a budget you must be able to reuse, recycle and repurpose decor and furniture that you already have. Fortunately, our attic looks like a Home Goods outlet store due to having four kids in college and several dorms and apartments that I have furnished and decorated over the past 5 years. Also, I recently agreed to a collaboration with Wayfair to design a “dream master bedroom”. Therefore, Libby’s room has benefited from some furniture and the rug from the master bedroom that I no longer need. For this cute boho inspired room refresh I was able to use 90% of what we already had in the home.
Since the majority of what I used for the room refresh was already in the home I knew I would be able to update the space in under a day. Painting was the time consuming part of the refresh. For me to paint a room the size of Libby’s took about 2 hours. An additional 2 hours to clean, rearrange and move furniture. The end of the day was final touches in lighting and pictures for the blog!

Boho rope shade // hooks // light adapter // quilt and shams // rug // basket // club chair // similar artwork // similar artwork // similar artwork // similar artwork // full length mirror // lanterns // hamper, pillows, plant, LOVE picture all from Home Goods.

For this boho inspired room refresh I reused existing furniture and decor in our home. The only two purchases were a boho inspired shade from World Market HERE and a white quilt and two shams from Amazon. BTW, the quilt and shams were only $23 (comes in other colors) and are super soft and look really nice. It’s a light weight quilt perfect for spring/summer. Will add a blanket for extra warmth in fall/winter months. Well worth the $23 HERE. The room had no existing ceiling light so I hung the shade from a hook I screwed into the ceiling. With a light adapter, I was able to make this into a working light! Light adapter kit HERE
