This afternoon Rick and I made an exciting purchase moving a little closer toward retirement goals that will also be entertaining us until we get there. We bought a mountain! Kidding, not kidding. More on the details of “what” and “where” to follow.

As inbetweeners (not young, not old, somewhere in between) we are in the phase of life of being too young to retire but old enough to have four adult kids (who are thankfully educated, independent, and 100% off our payroll!) Rick and I have always been on the same page about retirement goals and what we want life to look like “after kids”. We’ve even come up with our own retirement equation:

So here we are, executing our plan, moving forward in life together and giving Tami In Between a whole lot of new content in the coming months! I will be journaling, vlogging and posting about this next “in between” empty nesting phase of life. Oh, and if you are curious what our “retirement equation” means. Check out the blog tomorrow! In the meantime, Rick and I have to go celebrate our closing day…although it doesn’t feel like a close…it feels more like life is just starting to open.
