The kitchen update is done! This weekend I DIY’d the last project and installed an over range vent hood (with Ricks help because it was a DIY plus one project)! It was ambitious to say the least but I did it AND saved $500 (the cost to have someone install it for us). BAM! We recorded a video for IGTV and of course there will be a blog about it all! But first, want to share a small DIY project I did last week for the kitchen update refresh project. When I update, refresh or modernize any space in our home I always try to recycle, reuse and repurpose what I already have. That is because it saves $! This DIY was to modernize some old wire baskets that I had in the kitchen. It was sooo easy! Sometimes saving money when updating is just a matter of seeing how easy it is to do and realize, you can do it too! This DIY wire basket update cost less than $5 and under an hour of time to do from start to finish! Check it out!
SHOP THE POST
Most of the shelf decor came from Home Goods and Hobby Lobby. I have ginger jars all throughout my home. I never pay more than $25 each for one and can find them usually at Home Goods. Hyacinth vase is also from Home Goods along with the plant in white pot, wood book ends, candle stand, candle and hourglass sand timer. Solid cutting boards are from Meijer here and here and striped one is from World Market here. Wire baskets are from Meijer. Set of three polka dot canisters with hyacinth lids are from Hobby Lobby as is the wood cube. White cover books are from etsy here.
Amazing. So impressed with your creative & saving $$ techniques!
Thanks Jane!
