Greenery in white knobby jar

FLORAL ARRANGEMENT HACK

While out shopping I picked up a bunch of fresh leafy greenery and eucalyptus for $7 at Costco.  With a knobby jar from Home Goods I was able to throw together a quick and easy kitchen centerpiece that is fresh, natural and smells so good.  Fresh eucalyptus beats out any candle that I burn to make the house smell fresh.  Since my knobby jar was short and wide, I was able to use this floral arrangement hack to place the stems in a manner to fill out the arrangement.  Many people know this hack already.  Until recently I didn’t!  I figured if I didn’t know about this little trick then there are probs other people like me that could use the 411!  Here it is!

Knobby jar and greenery
This hack is great when you want to use any jar, bowl or canister that has a wide opening for the base of your arrangement.

Without the hack, the greens or flower stems do not sit in the container nicely.

With tape (best to use floral tape but I used scotch tape) take strips of tape and go across the opening of your container.

Next, do the same with the tape strips but in the other diection. Making a grid pattern as pictured.

With the tape grid on your arrangement container, now you are able to place the stems purposefully around the container filling out the arrangement without the stems falling from side to side.
