J CREW FACTORY BEST FINDS & FAVES

Black Friday sales are on and J Crew Factory has 6070% + an EXTRA 10% off purchase (with code HOLIDAY) of everything in stores and online!  I’ve thought it for a while and said it last week.  This season J Crew Factory’s line is fabulous, from styles to prices.  I’ve taken the liberty to order a lot of the fall styles and pieces so I can bring you an informed post about my all of my favorites!  Here are the J Crew Factory best finds and faves.  Including the MVP’s!

Tops

  1.  Button front flannel with ruffled collar – I have last years version of this flannel (without the ruffle collar).  I love mine and wear it a lot but really LOVE this ruffle collar version and wish I had this one!  Another flannel in tartan with same collar HERE.  So dang cute.
  2. Artist tee   – Cotton, comfortable long sleeve tee with a slightly looser fit.  Holds it shape after washings and comes in striped and solid (I have stripe).  Another great layer piece or let it go solo.  Just over $10 too.
  3. Long sleeve funnel neck pullover  – This is the MVP of the fall season.  Cozy and comfy fleece lined pullover that is both dressy and casual.  It comes in three colors (all are better than the next).  It’s fitted yet boxy.  Which makes sizing tricky.  I ordered a small and medium because some reviews said it’s fitted and size up and others said TTS.  I kept the small.  If you like your tops oversized then go up a size.
  4.   Ruffle neck sweater– Ugh.  I’m a sucker for the ruffle neck.  Since I missed out on the flannel I had to order this ruffleneck sweater instead.  Comes in many colors (check out the navy and white stripe! OMG LOVE).  I went with the white one since I know I’ll wear it year round and my closet is starting to look a little too “stripey”.  It’s a gorgeous and cute sweater though.   Fits TTS.
  5. Open front cardigan in extra soft yarn –  I honestly don’t know what they put into their “extra soft” fabric line this season, kittens?  It’s so so soft!  The open front cardigan is a fave!  Mine is currently draped over the back of my office chair.  It’s my grab and go layer that I wear around the house constantly.  It looks good when I leave the house in it too!  It’s just a piece that is so soft, so cozy and looks good so just get it, OK!  You will thank me later  (BTW – no kittens were harmed in the making of this super soft sweater, lol).
  6. Printed tissue turtleneck–  These are a spectacular deal.  Comes in many prints, great for layering or by itself.  Material is thin (but not see through).  Makes it the perfect layering piece and for just over $10 you must have a few of these in your closet.  I have several.  Fits TTS.
  7. Teddie sweater  – There is a reason I have this in almost ever color offered.  It’s a wool cotton blend (not itchy), washes well and has so far kept its shape (I don’t dry it).  It’s not thick or thin so it perfectly fits that inbetweener weather where you want the sweater look but not the sweater bulk.  Fits TTS.
  8. Button collar pullover sweatshirt –  Have this in three colors cuz it’s one of my cutest and comfiest sweatshirts in my closet.  I wear it unbuttoned over a boyfriend shirt or buttoned for warmth.  It’s a sweatshirt you won’t want to take off because the buttons make it fancy but IT’S A SWEATSHIRT!
  9. Long sleeve bow top – I’ve got this top in leopard print that is not offered this year.  But the black and white is just as fab!  It’s stylish and comfortable.  The material makes it feel a little dressier so I haven’t worn it as much this fall without having many places to go (thanks to COVID).  I love the classy black and white version.  The bow elevates the style to the next level and is my favorite feature.  I’m a sucker for bows and ruffles.  EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Coat. Blazer, Dress & Skirt

  1. Houndstooth schoolboy blazer – This didn’t grab my eye at first but then I saw it in person on a mannequin and it is just GORGEOUS.  Quality and material is topnotch and the houndstooth pattern is really classy.  I fell in love instantly.  It does go in and out of stock so I had to watch for it and jump when it restocked.  I ordered it in size 6 and 8 but kept the 6.  I wear a small to XS in tops.  Since it’s a coat I wanted it big enough to layer sweaters underneath but not too big that it was boxy.  The 6 fit me perfect.
  2. Classic trench coat – I searched and searched last year for the perfect trench coat.  For value and quality, I found this one.  Doesn’t get any classier than this trench and it’s the perfect length (some are too long or short…this one is juuust right!)  I even love the lining (there is the stripey thing again that I’ve got going on!)  Fits TTS.
  3. Sweater blazer – Another closet staple that I wear ALL THE TIME.  Probably because it is easy to dress up or down.  Made of cotton so it’s like a comfy sweater or sweatshirt but it’s cut into a blazer so just so chic and classy!  J Crew has a merino wool version for 4 x the price.  This one every bit as stylish and much less expensive.  It does run big.  I ordered a size down to an XS.
  4. Sweater dress in extra soft yarn  – I just said it.  Extra soft.  It is!  Comes in black and camel (I have camel) and drapes nicely.  It’s a little longer (hits at knee) which is exactly the length I like.  I wear with some riding boots.  Fits a tad big so it’s TTS with a little wiggle room.  Not clingy.  Just a solid, very soft, warm sweater dress.
  5. Wool blend a line skirt  – Another MVP of the fall line.  This wool blend skirt has a flattering fit, hits just above the knee and is wool blend so warm but not itchy.  Comes in three colors and the buffalo check version is adorable.  I mean, seriously how cute will this be in holiday pics?!  Check it out HERE.   I’ve worn this skirt so many ways this fall even though I’m not a big skirt person.  I’m putting an entire post together on this skirt because it is worthy of it’s own blog!  It’s that good!

Shoes & Accessories

  1. Fuzzy scuff slippers –Wow.   Bought these on a whim and I’m so glad I did.  They are like walking on little clouds!  Comes in hot pint and leopard print too.
  2. Set of three stud earrings – These are only available online.  Include my fave bow earrings I bought last year.  Would be a great stocking stuffer gift!
  3. Pearl bow stud earrings – OMG, these are just the cutest and I must have.  Kids…you reading this…mom has a stocking too!
  4. Bryn cap toe leather block shoes – The third and final MVP of the J Crew Factory must haves.  These shoes are in high rotation right now.  They level up jeans and a tee.  Just look at them!  I feel so sophisticated and classy wearing these.  They are chic and have become a part of my “uniform” to wear this fall!
  5. Classic plaid scarf – It’s big and soft and my go to scarf if the weather calls for it here in Louisville.
