LASH SERUM REVIEW

Lash serum review.  I’ve found that since I’ve hit that “in between” phase of life (not young, not old but somewhere in between) I’m eager and more than willing to try any and all products that may give my appearance a little oomph.  I was born with naturally light, thin and puny lashes.  Therefore, I’ve been testing lash serums for the past few years in hopes of giving my pathetic little lashes a much needed boost.  In doing so, I’ve come up with the biggest bang for my buck when it comes to these lash serums.  Here are my results from daily use of three products and which one (in my opinion) offers the biggest bang for you buck (and why)!

GOOD: Rodan & Fields Enhancements Lash Boost

Used this product for a year. One tube lasts about 3 months (applying 1x day).  Saw results of longer lashes around the 3 month mark.  One tube costs around $135.  The product can only be purchased through a R&F  consultant and goes on auto refill every month (a total pain because you don’t need to purchase this product monthly).  It does work and as long as you continue to use the product, lashes are definitely longer and thicker.

Pros

  • It works.
  • Lengthens lashes
  • Easy application
  • Self contained tube and brush system

Cons

  • It’s expensive.
  • Can only purchase through consultant.
  • Goes on a monthly auto-ship so you have to call to remind company NOT to ship product when not needed.
  • Must set up auto EFT.

BETTER: Latisse

Used this product  also for a year. One tube lasts about 3 months (applying 1x day).  Results were consistent with other serums of longer, thicker lashes.  With this product lashes also appeared to darken a bit.  One bottle costs $160 for a 3 month supply.  This product must be applied by dropping serum on mini brushes (provided).  Also, this product can only be prescribed from a doctor (I purchased through my dermatologist office).  The FDA approved “medication” does work for longer, thicker and darker lashes when used daily.

Pros

  • It works.
  • Lengthens, thickens and darkens lashes

Cons

  • It’s expensive.
  • Can only purchase through doctor office.
  • Prescribed medication
  • User can be sensitive to product
  • Drop & Brush application system
  • Multiple brush system is clunky and not space saving.

Used this product for the past year and currently using.  One tube lasts about 3 months (applying 1x day).  Results are consistent with other serums of longer, thicker lashes.  Unlike the other two serums, this costs WAY less for similar/same results.  One bottle costs $60 for a 3 month supply.  This product is also MUCH easier to purchase through many retail stores like Ulta and Sephora.  After using all three products each for a year, the results of longer, darker and thicker lashes were very similar with all serums.  HOWEVER, the GrandeLASH-MD is way easier to purchase and is far less expensive than the other two options.  Making this my GO TO lash serum and greatest bank for your buck!

Pros

  • It works.
  • Lengthens, thickens and darkens lashes
  • Easy application
  • Self contained tube and brush system
  • Less expensive

Cons

  • NONE!
  • Best bang for your buck lash serum option!
