Big news! The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale has been announced and it drops Monday. It’s a sale offered online only and starts 8AM EST on September 14 and will end September 15 at midnight EST.
PRODUCT DROPS
The sale starts Monday, September 14th and there will be two drops. The first at 8AM and the 2nd will be the morning of Tuesday, September 15th. The second drop will likely be restocks as well as new products so make sure you check back on Tuesday! Also, the second day of the sale is usually a little less chaotic and items stay in stock longer then the first day.
HOW THE VIRTUAL LINE WORKS
Lilly Pulitzer has used the virtual line system in past sales and it’s proven to work well to ensure their website doesn’t crash. It also allows everyone a chance to shop. How it works is when you arrive to their website in the morning you will be given a number and a wait time. This is your virtual line of when you will get access to enter the site to shop the sale (even if you open the site at 8 AM you will still wait in a long line so don’t panic!) Once your virtual wait time is up and you get into the site you can shop until you check out. At which time you will be placed back into a virtual line again (I know more waiting!) From past experience, numbers and wait times on the first day are really high BUT it does go quickly (usually quicker then the wait time they give you). Just be patient! You will get in and there will be plenty of merchandise to shop. If for some reason your number or wait time gets pushed back don’t freak out! This is the website’s way of ensuring the site doesn’t crash and it’s happening to everyone…not just you! Another tip is when you are waiting to get into the sale, you usually hear a loud DING! when your time has come to shop. I turn the volume up loud on my computer and check it often and listen for the DING! that cues me it’s my time to shop!
QUICK REVIEW OF TIPS
- Save time shopping by checking out blogger sneak peeks of the sale to get ideas of what you really want before Monday morning. The quicker you shop the less chance what you want will be sold out.
- Turn volume up on computer so when waiting in virtual line to enter the sale you can work on other things. The DING! cues you that your time has come to start shopping!
- Your virtual wait time usually goes much faster than what it says.
- Create an account early
- Site will go down several hours before sale. Create account now!
CREATE ACCOUNT
If you don’t already have one, create your Lilly account now. If you already have a Lilly account then make sure your name, shipping address and payment info is all up to date. This will save you time and hassle on an already hectic sale and will cut down on long delays and timing out. Also, be aware that the website will go down for several hours before the sale to prepare so create and update your account now!
