Plus my first (and last) TIK TOK video!
I’m almost 50 and last fall created a life and style hobby blog after the youngest of four kids left for college. I needed an empty-nester project, hence the blog! It’s been awesome. It’s challenging, I’m learning new skills, sharing home projects and finding a niche with fellow middle-agers and #inbetweeners (not young, not old…somewhere in between) by sharing my style and fashion suggestions to age stylishly. I’m having a blast with it all! I even taught myself the ins and outs of Instagram and Pinterest to promote the blog!
Impressed yet?
You read the part about being almost 50 right?! Well if starting a blog at 49 doesn’t impress you how about me telling you I did my first TIK TOK and REELS videos this week! I know, eye roll. Ok, c’mon! You gotta be a wee bit impressed now!! Don’t worry, I didn’t dance (cuz that would just be horrifying). I had every intention to leave TIK TOK for the younger generation where it belongs. That was until I thought of the mask pack hack (another 4 AM can’t sleep crazy idea). Turns out, the idea called for a TIK TOK video (and since Instagram just launched REELS I threw that into the mix too) so with Jenna’s help we made it happen this weekend. We turned my mask pack hack blog into my first TIK TOK video and also doing REELS videos to promote tamiinbetween.com blogs! Whew…now I see why social media and blogging is for the younger folk. I’m exhausted. The mask pack hack blog is below. So if you’re 25 or under then you’ll prob watch the TIK TOK and if you’re 26 or older then keep reading the blog. Not sure where REELS fits in (I’m still figuring it out myself). Either way, at 50 I’m in over my head on all fronts but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
MASK PACK HACK
New solution for a new problem
Most new ideas stem from having a problem and creating a solution for that problem. That’s how mask pack hack came to light. I shop a lot. Home, decor, fashion, grocery, etc. I’m making my rounds. With the current pandemic and health regulations of wearing masks in public and in stores I’ve found myself steps away from a store front door to realize I don’t have a mask with me. Well crap! If I’m lucky, I left one in the car. If I’m unlucky I forgot it at home. Either way, I’m a tad inconvenienced to go back to my car or home to get my mask. There has to be a solution. Well, there is! Thanks to my dog Gus, I came up with a mask pack hack. Inexpensive and easy way to keep multiple clean masks on your person so you will never get steps from a door and have to be inconvenienced to about face because you forgot your mask. Introducing mask pack hack!
