What I miss most about living in Chicago is the wide variety of both shopping and food. I still crave Numero Uno pizza, Portello’s Italian beef sandwiches and Ricobene’s chicken vesuvio. I also miss having Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales and Nieman Marcus stores close by. Back in the day the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was my shopping Olympics. I would spend hours shopping the sale and save hundreds on name brands that I couldn’t afford to buy any other time of year. Although I’m no longer near a Nordstrom store to shop it in person anymore I’m still shopping the sale, only doing it online. Considering the current pandemic, shopping online is safer anyway! Since I’m not a Nordy cardholder (anymore) my shopping window doesn’t open until August 19. Therefore, I’ve been keeping all my shopping finds on my wish list. The sale is currently open to cardholders so unfortunately, a few of my “saved” items are already sold out. To get ready for my shopping window (that starts August 19) I’ve updated my cart for what I consider some great deals of the sale. Here is my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale cart update.

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Lite Circle Cardigan – OK, lets try this again. My first Barefoot Dreams cardigan choice has already sold out! Thankfully, all their sweaters are equally as soft, comfy and cozy so let’s hope I can snag this one up before it sells out…because it will.
Natori Feathers Underwire Bra – These bras are pretty and very comfortable, the lace is extremely soft. I stock up on these for the year. They do go on sale but not this much!
Kendra Scott Davis Friendship bracelet – I love her jewelry and this bracelet would make a great gift for that hard to buy for aunt or teacher.
Longchamp Club Tote – If you’ve ever wanted a Longchamp tote, now is the time to snag one for a really great price. Plus these colors are so bright and fun. Buy one of these fun summer colors now and store until next spring when they won’t be this price!
Topshop pleated sleeve sweatshirt – If you are going to wear a sweatshirt, why not make it super cute.
Spanx The Perfect Black Pant Seam Skinny Pant – I’m intrigued. I have their leggings (they are amazing). I have the black leather leggings currently in my cart. But the leggings come in a pant style…me wanty!
Mario Badescu Essentials Set – Buying this set is worth it for the drying lotion alone. I dab this on a pre-pimple and it dries it up before it even erupts. The price for this set is cheaper than the lotion by itself. I’ve never used the lip balm but the facial spray has been a stocking stuffer gift to my girls for years.
UGG Fluffette Slipper – If these are 50% as comfy & cozy as the boots they are a winner.

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Lite Long Cardigan : Softest sweaters ever. Everything you hear about Barefoot Dreams is true. I really like the bisque color but also eyeing this in “cocoa”. Super comfy, warm and lightweight. This will get a lot of wear. SOLD OUT
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings : The best selling faux leather pants for a reason. I’ve been looking for these and they are either not on sale or sold out. these leggings stretch but don’t stretch out. I can’t tell you how many leather leggings I’ve returned because of the knees stretching out and gaping. If these are not sold out (again) by the time the sale opens for me (I’m a non-card member) they are mine o mine!
Rails Ellis Cotton Shirt : Classic lightweight cotton shirt. A soft and cozy alternative to my crisp button downs. I own two other Rails Ellis tops (both patterned) and have been looking for it in plain white. Here it is and a great price for this brand too! SOLD OUT
AG Legging Ankle Jeans : I have two favorite pairs of jeans. My Madewell Roatrippers and my AG Legging Ankle blue jeans. The AG legging ankle jean is their claim to fame and most popular style. If you are in the market for a nice designer black jean, get these! You will be seeing me styling these black, high waisted cropped jeans this fall with a chambray top or camel sweater.
Tory Burch Carson Leather Tote : An everyday go to tote. Comes in brown and black. Only buy this during the Nordy sale. The savings is incredible.
Blondo Elvina Waterproof Bootie : Completely waterproof bootie. Comes in many color options but the white are speaking to me. They run small so suggest sizing up.
Stuart Weitzman Zuzanna Over the Knee Boots : These are indeed a big splurge. I’ve had my eye on these OTK boots for years. As far as OTK boots go (I’ve done my research) the SW OTK boots stay up the best. Even so, I still haven’t been able to take the plunge. They are in my cart but will probably stay there. I will say these boots are totally worth it if you will wear them a lot. They have a low heel version (not on sale) that I think I would get more wear out of the lower heel version since they are more practical for me personally. For now, these will be staying in my cart but it’s fun to dream.
Barbour Pilton Quilted Jacket : Iconic barbor style lightweight coat. A little preppy (it has a tartan lining!) and something I don’t need but REALLY REALLY want! SOLD OUT
