Is it that I have too many clothes & shoes or is it my closet is just too small? Probably both. Twice a year I flip my closet for the seasonal change. Since I struggle to fit two seasons of clothes in a small space, trying to squeeze in all the winter/fall shoes, booties and boots is nearly impossible! If you have similar struggles in the closet department then take note of this shoe storage hack which allows you to squeeze in TWICE as many shoes (well at least twice as many shoe styles).
To maximize the limited space in a closet designated for shoes this hack helps DOUBLE the amount of shoes that can be shown off. Simply by displaying only ONE shoe of the pair. The other shoe gets put into a storage bin kept hidden under the bed. This doubles the amount of shoes that can be exhibited in a small closet.
By putting the match to the shoes displayed in my closet in a convenient spot hidden away, it allows more shoes to be displayed in the small space made available for them. It’s not the most genius hack I’ve come up with but it works pretty good for seeing more shoe options in one spot when you are dealing with a small closet space like I am!
