EASY WINTER PORCH DECOR

Christmas was celebrated at our house this year so I went a little “extra” with the holiday decorations.  See the blog post on this year’s holiday decor HERE and HERE.  Once the holiday trimmings were all taken down and stored back into the attic the house felt naked!  Especially the porch!  I try to keep the porch decorated year round with seasonal decor and wanted to get something out there fast.  However, since I am still recovering from an overwhelming Christmas, I didn’t have a lot of time or energy to do much so I kept it really simple and I love how it turned out.  With just 4 items (ceramic jars, a rug, a wreath and topiaries) I was able to put together a really simple yet decorative front porch for the winter!  Here is my easy winter porch decor.

An example of very simple winter porch decor

Amazon Outdoor Patio Rug  //  White snowflake ceramic jars found at Kroger in two sizes 10″ and 15″ tall  // Three ball  Topiaries  //  Similar white planters   //  Stick wreath was a Home Goods find.  Similar one from Pottery Barn HERE  //  Other outdoor winter door wreaths I love HERE and HERE

I've had this stick wreath for a few years. Found at Home Goods. I use it every winter for door decor. It is perfect for the cold, stark winter months. It really pops agains the navy blue door (door color is SW Hale Navy)
These white ceramic cans were found at Kroger and came in two sizes
Filled the cans with branches cut from our shrubs
I cut off branches from these shrubs on the side our our house to fill the ceramic snowflake cans for some texture and added height to the porch.

The easy winter porch decor also provides a simple backdrop for blog pics.   This pic taken for the blog on the Stuart Weitzman OTK Lowland boots.  For outfit and boot details go to the blog HERE.
