FALL HOME DECOR

This may be a seasonal decorating first for me.  This year I didn’t buy a single new piece of décor to decorate our home this fall.  August and September came and went with most of my time spent taking care of my dad who was recovering from emergency surgery.  Therefore, no time to shop!  No worries, I was still able to put together a few key areas with fall home décor to make  our home feel festive and fall .

Table Scape

I love decorating the dining room table.  We don’t use it often and it’s an area in the middle of the entire first floor so decorating that space is always impactful.

Porch

This year’s fall home décor porch inspo came from moving dad from Michigan to Kentucky this spring.  Many of the elements I used on the porch this year are items that we moved from dad’s hunting property up north.  I call this porch my “Ode to Michigan Hunting Season”.

The door piece is a 2nd hand store find.  Added some faux flowers for color and a set of deer antlers from dad’s “garage lodge” in Michigan to go with the theme.  The large sign was brought with us in the move.  It is my dads’ name and address.  When you decorate on a budget you use what you can find at home.  Instead of this big sign just sitting in my garage it works perfectly for my “Michigan themed porch” too!   Deer and faux pine trees are part of my Christmas themed decoration.  The large ceramic pumpkins were purchased a few years ago from Kroger.  Scattered a few real pumpkins in for filler and that is it!

Statement Mirror

With limited time to decorate this year I chose a few spots within the home to put some seasonal pieces.  The statement mirror at the entranceway is always a great spot for seasonal décor.

Gingham pumpkins are a DIY project I shared on the blog last year.  For details on the easy DIY project go HERE  //  My FAVORITE decor pieces!  They are best sellers for a reason. Just gorgeous! Kitchen

Can’t get easier than this for seasonal fall home décor.  A pumpkin shaped charcuterie board and a pumpkin on a stool.  Done.

Popped in a pumpkin shaped board from ETU Home HERE and an indoor/outdoor pumpkin (purchased at Home Goods last year) on a cute stool makes up the entire kitchen décor this year.

Fireplace

This is my favorite small area decorated this year.  Although I didn’t buy new fall décor, last year I purchased a lot of pumpkins and instead of peppering them throughout my home I concentrated them all in one small area.  Staged them as if they were falling out of a basket tumbling out of the fireplace.  I realized after I set this space up that the basket is WAY TOO SMALL for that many pumpkins but I love it and it’s staying just as it is this year!

Faux plants in basket have been collected over the years and get used regularly throughout the house in home décor.  Basket is Home Goods as are most of the pumpkins.  Firescreen HERE

Tiered Wood Tray

Another small area that got a pop of décor is the breakfast nook table.  Some simple fall décor on a tiered wood tray.

Couches & Chairs

Whether decorating on a budget or have limited time I always use pillows & throws for easy seasonal décor.  By placing a pumpkin or two on a couch, bench or chair can’t get any easier to make a space feel seasonal with very little effort!
