back to work

I’M HEADING BACK TO WORK

I’ve gotten notice that my office is opening back up this week to its employees.  Next week we can start bringing in clients for face to face meetings.  So after 8 weeks of working from home, I’m heading back to work!  I’m not 100% sure of how I feel about returning to work in regards to employee health, office cleanliness and what new protocols will be in place to keep everyone safe.  On the flip side, I’m 100% sure about how excited I am to wear all the cute clothes I’ve ordered online for spring but haven’t had anywhere to go and wear them!

16 AGAIN

Now it’s time to adjust and get back to an adult’s work schedule.  This will be tough considering I’ve been staying up until 2 AM most nights and waking up between 10-11 AM every day.  My late nights are attributed to NETFLIX, HULU and Prime.  Thank you big three. You’ve turned my sleep schedule into that of a 16 year old teenagers.  However, I’ve been immensely entertained by watching three seasons of Ozark, 7 seasons of Homeland, Outer Banks, 2 seasons of A Million Little Things, McMillions, season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Tiger King.  Can you see why I don’t go to bed before 2AM?!

DIY ALL DAY!

I’ve also finished several DIY projects around the house including a big master bath update.  Read the blog MASTER BATH UPDATE about the entire project with before/after pics HERE.  I also painted the front door (for the eighth time) and decorated the front porch with some great faux topiary and rugs.  See the blog PAINTED THE FRONT DOOR…AGAIN of how that turned out HERE.  Another project was setting up the backyard sitting area and gazebo.  I ordered three outdoor rugs online and shared an Instagram poll to help me choose the one to keep in the space.  See the blog CHOOSING AN OUTDOOR RUG for the one that was most popular HERE!

The past 8 weeks social distancing has been both productive and non productive between my DIY projects and useless hours in front of the TV.    Time to switch gears and get back to the grind because I’m heading back to work this week.  One thing is for sure, I’ll be going back wearing some cute new outfits!

SHOP MY STYLE:  This button shoulder ribbed turtleneck from J Crew is adorable HERE.  Thinner material.  This color is lilac.  The white may be see through.  Fits TTS.  Also, I live in these J Crew Cameron high waist pants for work HERE.  Have in navy and black.  They wash and wear really well.  Gingham cardigan is also J Crew last year.  I wish they would bring this back this year.  I love the gingham!  My favorite dress shoe from Kenneth Cole are these Ellis shoes.  Absolutely the comfiest dressy shoe I own HERE.  My navy tote is Tory Burch.  Not sure of the style.  I purchased second hand.  I actually think it may be a diaper bag.  LOL
