Over the past year Pendleton Sherpa blankets are being sold at Costco at a much lower price point. Costco Pendleton’s are made in China out of polyester which explains the low price in comparison to the USA made wool Pendleton blankets which go for several hundred dollars elsewhere. The Costco Pendleton blankets are soft, durable and offer the same classic designs, patterns and colors. They also can be machine washed (unlike the traditional wool that must be dry cleaned). Overall, the Costco Pendleton blankets are a great find that have excellent reviews. Grab yours today! My favorite is this traditional Pendleton Sherpa fleece throw in blue HERE!
Pendleton Woolen Mills was opened in 1909 manufacturing Jacquard blankets in bright colors, designs and patterns. Their popularity grew for their durable, anti-microbial and water resistant properties of wool. The company initially formed deep connections with Indigenous tribes and the Native North American population learning as much as they could about their customs and traditions. This knowledge is what formed the iconic designs that put Pendleton on the map. The geometric designed blankets are the hallmark of Pendleton.
The Pendleton fleece and Sherpa throw is also available at Costco in many colors! Great for travel!! HERE
