REVIEW
There is no competition if you are looking for a classic coat that will always be in style that is also a STEAL. This is it. The Thread & Supply pea coat is the perfect fall coat. The coat is on the thinner side so it’s not at all bulky yet it being 35% wool (in most of the colors available) provides enough warmth for fall and a Louisville winter. For my northern Chicago and Michigan friends, it may not be as suitable for the winter weather you endure but it definitely is perfect for your fall and spring. It is lined for a little extra warmth and available in classic fall neutral colors.
DETAILS
The coat has two front pockets at the waist and two side pockets. The double breasted coat’s look is elevated by the tortoise shell buttons and a tunnel neck that can be worn closed or left open for a shawl collar. There are the same button detail on each sleeve and the seams straight up the back of the coat gives the coat an A line shape to your silhouette.
SIZING
Website says to order a size down if in between sizes. NOT AT ALL TRUE. Definitely size up, up, up! The Thread & Supply Pea coat is narrow through the shoulders. I sized up TWO sizes. I first ordered a medium and the coat was still snug across the shoulders. Especially when worn with bulky sweaters so I sized up to a large. The large is plenty big but not boxy on me. The seam up n the back give it a delicate cut in at the waist. At this price point I kept the M and wear it in the fall with thinner tops and sweaters. I size up to the large when temps get cooler and I layer a bulky sweater underneath. The size large is the size shown in these pics for reference.
